Our client, a world leading biomedical researcher institution are working towards overcoming challenges in a range of disease areas. In line with their ongoing growth trajectory, they are looking for a HR Generalist/Manager to oversee operations of their UK facility. This is a newly created position and will offer continual progressional and development opportunities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record of success in a large company with multi-channel networks, preferably within the life science sector
  • Degree in Human Resources or Business, MBA is desirable
  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience within the life science sector is highly desirable
  • Expertise in full responsibility in Human Resource Management inclusive of: HR Admin, Organisation, Employee Relations, Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Management etc or HRBP responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence across the organisation and externally and the confidence to represent the team
  • Ability to create and communicate a clear vision and organisational expectations, effectively managing resources to achieve functional goals
  • Strong negotiation skills for work with internal management and external 3rd parties; ability to influence senior level management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior management to develop organisational strategies by identifying and researching HR issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organisation strategic thinking and direction; and establishing HR goals and projects in line with organisational objectives
  • Work within multi-functional, multi-cultural teams and collaborate across organisational boundaries and locations
  • Delivering business partnering and various HR support across the UK business. Guiding and influencing key stakeholders through use of HR knowledge and expertise
  • Drive change management and development processes across the business
  • Provide advice, counsel, and assistance to the organisation on HR related issues and programs in alignment with the Company culture
  • Develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives and communicate effectively to the management stakeholders
  • Act as the key mentor and point of contact to others inside the company on various HR programs and projects
  • Identify, define, plan, implement, communicate, track and follow up various HR programs and operational projects inside the company to ensure the timely delivery with high quality results
  • Participate in the development of HR Strategies along with other HR co-colleagues, suggest problem solving approaches, procedures and effectively manage them
  • Ensure the organisation’s compliance with all country employment laws and regulations, including formal documentation and communication of employment policies and practices
  • Assume responsibility for the delivery of special projects through diligent scheduling, planning, cost estimation risk analysis and financial management
  • Ensure integrity, maintenance and confidentiality of all personnel records in accordance with Company policies and procedures
