Sales Manager

Location: UK
Salary: c£52,000 + Bonus + Car + Equipment

Our client, a European specialist in the Life Science sector are seeking an established Sales Manager to help drive and grow their business.

The successful candidate will be field based in the UK, with key areas of interest including London, Manchester, Oxford and Cambridge. This will contribute significantly towards the organisation’s long term strategic plans for growth, as the main aim of this role is to enhance the company’s existing reputation and establish a market presence in the UK working with clients in pharmaceutical, biotechs and academia.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full sales pipeline from lead generation, tenders, closing sales, account management, service review and sales aftercare
  • Traveling through the assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers
  • Development of new sales/marketing tools and strategies by remaining in touch with competitor servicing, pricing and sales strategies
  • Establishing new partnerships by negotiating terms and closing sales on all new agreements
  • Strategic planning to ensure consistent growth and development of territory and company
  • Build and develop the company database
  • Attend industry networking and trade events

Basic Requirements:

  • Established approach to business development and successful track record of sales  
  • Previous sales experience within the Life Sciences field and in a laboratory setting are essential
  • Excellent communication skills, a conversational to professional level of French is essential
  • Commercially minded with the ability to self-manage
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with prior experience of using Sales CRM software.
