UK Service Manager

Location: Midlands
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
Ref: ALS 2154

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a UK Service Manager to manage and organise the service department. This role will be a 50-50 split between ‘hands on’ engineering and management. The successful candidate will be required to improve internal processes and maintain and develop sales of consumables and services across the UK.

Basic Requirements

  • Previous experience in mechanical servicing
  • Ability to fault find on VHP/washing/clean air equipment, electrical panels and components
  • Diary management
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Full UK driving licence is essential

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
  • Electrical troubleshooting, installations, repairs and breakdowns
  • Organise service field technicians schedules and control reporting processes
  • Plan and carry out direct training program activities to agreed budgets
  • Respond to and follow up service enquiries by emails, telephone, and personal visits
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customer through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff
  • Follow up the delivery of the products to end customers and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist or replace the service technician when installing the products or repair/servicing equipment
